2019 Wilmington Grand Prix

The Wilmington Gran Prix is known among the bike racers as a difficult and technically challenging course with tight turns and even managing to find some elevation in the downtown business district of Wilmington, Delaware. Colin Kelly and Chris Baccash have been two of our most active racers in the early season as they seek upgrade points to reach Category 1. Both put together a great race on Saturday with Colin being edged out at the line for second place and Chris finishing in the money in 14th.

Photographer Ron Short captured Andrew Dudle (Emmaus, PA) appearing in his first race for our elite team. Andrew is a graduate of Penn State University and well-known to us having raced mountain bikes for us several years ago. Since we last saw him he's transformed into a Category 1 criterium racer who has a knack for finding the podium. In his first race for us, he even earned the honor of a "call-up" introduction at the start line. He was joined by Chris Meacham (Doylestown, PA) who is just now beginning his race season with his eyes focused on a race in Doylestown later this year. Saturday wasn't our day in the CAT 1 race in Wilmington, but we've got other fish to fry later this season.

John Stoveld (Philadelphia, PA) and Dom Frascella (Lansdale, PA) represented our team in the Category 4/5 race Saturday as well in the First State. Dominic recently earned his upgrade to Category 4 and couldn't have picked a harder race to compete in as a CAT 4 racer. Congratulations guys on getting out there and competing.
