2024 BCC Doylestown Health Pro Women

National and international pro women's cycling talent returns to the streets of Doylestown for the 2024 Bucks County Classic. We're star-struck by riders like last year's winner Skylar Schneider and her sister Samantha both of the L39ION of Los Angeles team who took 3rd in 2023. We're in awe of local phenom Kim Stoveld (Automatic-Abus) who took 2nd last year and is always a breakaway threat. However, we're rightfully proud that our local team has been represented in the Pro Women's field since 2017. Understandably, we put a big red circle around the hometown race on our annual calendar. Prouder still to have Bethany Ingram (Warrington, PA) and Julianna Rutecki (West Chester, PA) wearing our colors in the 25-mile criterium on September 8th at 11:40 AM.

Bethany Ingram is an alum of Central Bucks South and holds two degrees from Liberty University. She belongs to the USA Cycling National Track Cycling Team and won a gold medal in the Team Pursuit discipline at the 2024 Pan American Games in Los Angeles, CA. She made the "long team" selection in Team Pursuit for the 2024 Paris Olympics but did not make the final selection for a squad that ultimately won the first-ever gold medal for the USA. On the track, Bethany races professionally for the Chaney Windows & Doors UCI Track Cycling Team. She is just completing a three-week block of racing in Eastern Europe. We're always glad to see her racing here at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center (Breinigsville, PA), and earlier this year she won the Nicole Reinhart Women's Open. Bethany has represented us at some of the East Coast's biggest criteriums this year including Spartanburg, Greenville, the Wilmington Grand Prix, Easton Twilight, and the Tour of the Somerville. She was the 2022 Collegiate National Champion in the Individual Time Trial discipline and was 3rd at the 2022 Easton Twilight Criterium. She was 6th in the 2022 Bucks County Classic.

Julianna Rutecki is a recent graduate of West Chester University and a resident of that town. However, she has strong ties to Bucks County including her father's career in local law enforcement. Her parents are long-time members of our cycling community. Julianna has been racing since 2016 in the Young Medalist and Vitesse programs. She collected podiums in 2023 at the Historic Riverton and Ardmore Criteriums. In 2024, she returned to Ardmore to take 2nd in the elite women's race. She is the reigning 2023 & 2024 Pennsylvania State Champion. Julianna is a mainstay on the track at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center and competed in the 2024 USA Cycling Elite National Championships in Los Angeles, CA. She just returned from representing us during a 3-week racing block in Eastern Europe.

Kim Zubris is currently specializing in track cycling for our program. In July she won three national championships in the elimination, points, and International Omnium disciplines, and two bronze medals in the Individual Pursuit and Scratch disciplines, at the 2024 USA Cycling Elite National Championships in Los Angeles, CA. She also won the 2024 Rider of the Year competition at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. She is a multiple national champion in previous seasons and has competed internationally as part of the USA National Track Cycling Team. While she won't be racing on the road at the Bucks County Classic this year, she is a huge part of our women's elite program.
