Goldsprints captured by Josh Owen Smith at Maple Collective.
On Saturday, February 22nd our semi-annual Goldsprints competition returned to Dharma Bums Bar in New Hope, PA. The event is a fundraiser for the Bike Works p/b Fred Beans Cycling team and an opportunity to introduce our 2025 roster to our sponsors and community. Thank you to everyone who came out for the fun, including members of the Instigators and Watt & Whiskey racing clubs, our Liv/Giant Bicycles ambassadors Josh Owen Smith and Grace Rollins, our pro race announcer Gary Thornton, and a special thanks to DJ Shael Fisher and The Plebs (featuring our own Dan Turner on drums) for providing the soundtrack. We are so blessed to have amazing photographers in our bike community and you can see full photo galleries of the event by Maple Collective and Steve Thompson here.

Missed the event? No worries, Rory Detweiler at No Brakes Productions put together a video capturing the action (below). Goldsprints originated at the turn of the last century when Vaudeville promoters took the golden age of cycling's top talents barnstorming across the country racing on "home trainers." Bike messengers in large cities brought the event into the modern age. To rachet up the fun, we have our elite track racers race Boldsprints on regular bike rollers. Chaos ensues. Congratulations to Noah Shumskas and Mia Deye who won our Boldsprints championships!
