Andy Wolfe and Colin Fitzgerald took on a high-level East Coast field at the 2025 Tour of Newport News stage race this past weekend. This event consisted of the Todd Stadium Points Race on Friday, the Crawford Road Time Trial (TT) on Saturday, the Twilight Criterium on Saturday, and the Fort Eustis Circuit Race on Sunday morning. The conditions for Friday's points race were less than ideal, with temps in the 40s and raining, but Andy was able to accumulate enough points to get second place on the day. Saturday morning's TT also went well, with Andy getting Fifth and him retaining second place overall in the omnium. Colin showed up for the Twilight Criterium on Saturday night, where they both sprinted for multiple premes with Andy and sprinted for third place in the final, further cementing his second place in the General Classification (overall standings). The Sunday Fort Eustis circuit race was Andy's last chance to move up, they had a plan but needed luck to win. They would have needed to win the mid-race points Sprint, which they did, and win the race. Unfortunately, a large group of people outside of the omnium went up the road in the second half of the race, leaving only scraps for the field, but that's okay because Andy retained his second place in GC with Colin guiding him and ensuring he stayed safe and upright. The full results are here.
