Jason Wood of Lansdale, PA really defines what elite cycling at the USA Cycling Domestic Elite Team/Pro Road Tour is all about. Born and raised in Doylestown, PA Jason graduated from CB East High School and Dickinson College. He became a licensed bicycle racer in 2009 and subsequently went on to earn his Category 1 license racing for a number of local regional teams. Now 37 years old, he has to balance the discipline and focus required to race bikes at this level with full-time employment. Oh, Jason is also a husband and father. Thank you Lindsey, Lucy and Matilda for sharing Jason with us these past two years. Jason is valued by his teammates for his huge engine. His role on the team is often to do the thankless tasks required to benefit his teammates: chasing down breakaways, keeping the race together, and pulling our sprinters to the front of the race. Jason also participates in track racing on Tuesday nights at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Trexlertown, PA and criterium training races in Great Valley, PA on Thursday nights.
