They've been racing the Pop & Mildred Kugler Criterium every Memorial Day on the streets of Somerville, NJ for 78 years. It is the oldest, and one of the most iconic pro bike races in America. We are so proud to tell you that this year Jessica Chong (Lehigh Valley) won the Women's Pro Criterium representing our team and our cycling community.

Jess has honed her skills through years of track and road racing and those skills served her well as she avoided a bad crash on the final lap that reduced the field. Jess won the final sprint against Emily Flynn of the prestigious LA Sweat team (Los Angeles, CA) and Leah Thompson of the venerable Century Road Club Association (NYC). Jess was supported by her teammate Julianna Rutecki (West Chester) to the best result of her career. Here's how Cycling News saw the race.

Additionally, both Jess and Julianna raced the Easton Twilight Criterium (Easton, PA) and the Tour of Plainfield (Plainfield, NJ) in the weekend run up to Somerville. In Easton, Julianna took 4th overall in the Women's Pro Race and picked up the Pennsylvania State Championship for Women's Category 2 racers on her way. Congrats to you both on a huge weekend.
