Zach Shearon goes downhill really fast.
Zach Shearon is one of our longest tenured teammates but many people never get to see him race. Zach excels at a discipline of mountain biking called Enduro that has its roots in European car rally racing and motorbike racing. Generally speaking Enduro races involve 3-6 timed, downhill stages. In between are untimed "transfer stages" in which you get yourself to the top of the next stage. Put simply, get yourself to the top of the mountain and then go down fast. This weekend Zach placed second in a very, very deep Category 1 (30-39 year old) category at the MAXXIS Eastern States Cup Specialized Enduro at Glen Park, PA. We may not see Zach go fast for a bit as he and his wife Brittany are expecting twins shortly. Best wishes to Zach, Brittany and family in this exciting time and we'll be looking forward to seeing you back on the bike soon.
